Such beautiful videography while sewing Sara. I will start mine shortly. I will do the pocket variation but think I will extend the upper pocket into the skirt-bodice seam to anchor the pocket.

Why does my neck line gape out

So far I have made two of these dresses. One in solid, soft cottong and one in double musilin. And I love them so much! Use them way too often!

You could just put a cute “patch” pocket on the front to avoid the “bulk” in the side seams!

I am reorganizing my sewing space. On your recommendation in this video, I purchased some of those files for my PDF patterns (which includes several of your patterns!). I think I will use them for my "regular" patterns, too. I'm going to use a file cabinet to store the files. Thank you!

Hii i want to start sewing is it easy to learn this for begginer

I'm at the step at 5:46. Has anyone else who made this had an issue where the front facing came out bigger than the front of the shorts? I couldn't line up the seams without easing it in quite a bit, and even then I had 3/8" or so extra on each end. I checked my seam allowances and that all the pieces are cut for the same size of the pattern.

This has been such a relaxing peaceful, calming experience, thank you. I’d love to make this but I’d like to ask whether it would suit a tall lady with ample bosom and a big belly? I thought it would high her belly, but I think maybe it suits a smaller bust. I’m also expecting it will raise at the front hem, although I know how to compensate for that. I’d appreciate your advice, thank you.

I don´t understand "partial pleats" for size 2XL. I am trying to sew this skirt now and a i have a lot of skirt fabric.. so not sure what partial pleats means here and it is not mentioned in the video. Does it mean placing pleats only in front and back, and not in the sides? Or does it mean pleats that overlap each other?

I happen to have double gauze fabric i can make this dress with! I do have a question however. Should i do the lining with double gauze as well? It seems like it could be quite bulky.

Yes, another gorgeous patchwork dress! This one’s really beautiful and the light, summery vibes look so comfortable to wear on a hot day. I think my favourite is still the rich dark dramatic one you made first, but it’s hard to choose! Looking forward to another combination, and to seeing what others make and send to you. 😊

Pretty and inspiring! Do you have any suggestions for finishing seams without a serger? Would you suggest French seams for the patchwork, or zigzagging the edges? I have a large stash of quilting fabric, and this would be a great way to combine smaller cuts and remnants into a garment.
